MATERNITY SESSIONS
A guided experience, from start to finish
Pregnancy is one of the most transformative and beautiful chapters of a woman's life — and one of the shortest. The strength, the glow, the quiet wonder of carrying your child happens fast, and a thoughtful maternity portrait session is how you hold onto it.
As a Beaverton maternity photographer with 15+ years of experience and a background in fashion design, I create maternity portraits that feel intentional, elegant, and entirely you. Whether you want ethereal and dreamy, soft and intimate, or fashion-forward and bold, we'll plan a session that reflects exactly the kind of pregnancy story you want to tell.
I serve expecting mothers across Beaverton, Portland, Hillsboro, Lake Oswego, and Tigard — and I'd love to celebrate this chapter with you.

MY APPROACH
Empowering. Elegant.
Entirely you.
By the third trimester, many women feel tired, swollen, too different from their pre-pregnancy body to feel beautiful. I work patiently to flip that. My direction is calm and specific; you never have to wonder how to stand or where to put your hands.
I use natural light and carefully considered locations to create a soft, timeless aesthetic — images that will still feel beautiful in twenty years. Partners and older siblings are always welcome to join for part or all of the session, because those family moments add depth and warmth to your gallery.
Four SIMPLE STEPS
01
You've reached out — wonderful. We'll connect by email or a short call so I can learn about your family, your vision, and what's prompting this session. By the end of our conversation, we'll both know whether we're a great fit to work together.
Get to know you
02
Once you've booked, we move into planning — location, wardrobe, timing, and any details that matter to you. You'll receive a personalized styling guide and a preparation packet, so by the time your session arrives, every decision has already been made.
Session Planning
03
Session Day
It's the day. I guide every pose, expression, and moment so you never feel uncertain in front of the camera. The pace is calm and unhurried, and my one goal is for you to actually enjoy yourself. Most clients tell me afterward it felt easier than they expected.
04
Gallery & Heilooms
Two to three weeks after your session, your private online gallery is ready. We'll meet to view your favorites together and discuss heirloom print options — framed wall art, and beautiful albums to live in your home for decades.
Every Studio Nagita session moves through the same four-step process — designed to make the photography feel effortless and the result feel inevitable.
THE PROCESS
your Beaverton maternity session
Every maternity session at Studio Nagita is designed as a full experience — from the first email through your final gallery. Here's what to expect when you book your pregnancy portraits with me.
Pre-session consultation
Once you book, we'll connect to talk through your due date, your vision for the session, and the location that best fits the mood you want. I'll send a complete preparation guide covering timing, what to bring, and what to do the morning of so you arrive relaxed and ready.
Wardrobe Guidance
You'll receive a personalized wardrobe guide informed by my background in fashion design. I help you choose silhouettes, fabrics, and colors that photograph beautifully on a maternity body and feel like an authentic version of you. I also have a small collection of flowing maternity gowns available to borrow during your session if you'd like the option.
Photo session Day
During your session, I direct every pose, hand placement, and expression so you never feel uncertain in front of the camera. My approach is patient and unhurried, with built-in time to rest, hydrate, and adjust your outfit. Most mothers tell me by the end of their maternity session that they felt more beautiful than they had in months.

IN-HOME, OUTDOOR OR STUDIO
Perfect Beaverton locations for your Maternity Photo Session
Beaverton is rich in wonderful locations for your maternity photo sessions. Your maternity session can take place wherever feels right for the story you want to tell. I offer in-home, studio, and outdoor photo sessions based on the look you're going for and what's practical at your stage of pregnancy, although I have a soft spot for outdoor maternity sessions. Natural light is more forgiving than any softbox. Outdoor sessions also give us scale and story. The mountain in the background, the field your kids will run through next summer, the trail you used to hike before you were tired all the time. That context matters later. Here are some of my favorite spots.
Jenkins Estate:
A historic 68-acre estate with formal gardens, stone walls, an old carriage house, and tree-lined lawns. The architecture gives us classic, slightly timeless backdrops you can't replicate at a park. Especially beautiful in late spring when the gardens come in.
Best for: editorial, elegant, slightly dressed-up sessions. Couples who want something that looks more wedding-portrait than nature-walk.
Cooper Mountain
Cooper Mountain is the one I recommend first to almost every client. Rolling meadows, oak savanna, and an open ridge with a clear view toward the Tualatin Valley — golden hour here is genuinely cinematic. The trails are gentle enough for late-pregnancy walking, and the variety means we can pull three or four different looks from a single session without ever driving anywhere else.
Best for: bright, airy, field-and-sky aesthetics. Spring through early fall.
Tualatin Hills Nature Park
A historic 68-acre estate with formal gardens, stone walls, an old carriage house, and tree-lined lawns. The architecture gives us classic, slightly timeless backdrops you can't replicate at a park. Especially beautiful in late spring when the gardens come in.

WHEN TO BOOK
your Beaverton maternity session
The ideal time for a maternity session is between 28 and 36 weeks of pregnancy. By 28 weeks your bump is beautifully round and visible; before 36 weeks you're typically still mobile and comfortable enough to enjoy the session. The sweet spot for most mothers is right around 30 to 34 weeks.
I recommend reaching out during your second trimester to reserve your preferred date — Beaverton-area weekend slots in spring and summer book up months in advance. If you're past 36 weeks and worried you've missed the window, reach out anyway. Late-pregnancy sessions are still beautiful, and there's flexibility in how we plan around how you're feeling.
Combining Maternity and Newborn Bookings
Many of my clients book a maternity and newborn session together, and it's something I genuinely recommend. The maternity session captures the anticipation — your bump, your partner's hand on it, the nursery before the baby arrives — while the newborn session documents your baby's first days. Together, they tell the complete story of welcoming your child into the family.
Maternity photography pricing at Studio Nagita is structured around full session experiences rather than by-the-hour packages. Your investment covers the pre-session consultation, the maternity session itself, professional editing, your online gallery, and digital delivery of your favorite images. Prints, wall art, and albums are available as add-ons through your gallery.
Why expecting mothers choose Studio Nagita
There are many maternity photographers in the Beaverton and Portland area, and choosing one is a personal decision — these are images you'll hand down to your child one day. Here's what tends to set my maternity sessions apart:
Direction for the self-conscious. If pregnancy has left you not loving how you feel in front of a camera, you're exactly the mother I want to photograph. My direction is patient and specific, and I work until you feel something shift — which it always does.
A fashion-trained eye. Before photography, I studied and worked in fashion design. That training informs every styling decision, from wardrobe and color palette to silhouette and posing. Your maternity portraits look intentional because every visual choice is intentional.
15+ years of experience. I've photographed hundreds of expecting mothers across the Portland metro. That experience shows in how easily a session flows and how confidently I plan around the realities of late pregnancy.

PREPARING FOR YOUR BEAVERTON MATERNITY PHOTO SESSION
Frequently asked questions about Beaverton maternity photography
When should I book my maternity session? Reach out during your second trimester to reserve a date. Sessions are typically photographed between 28 and 36 weeks.
How long does a maternity session last? Most sessions run 60 to 90 minutes, with time built in for wardrobe changes and rest if you need it.
What if I don't know to wear? That's what wardrobe guidance is for. I'll walk you through outfit choices personally, and through talking about your skin tone and coloring, I help you plan something that will show off your bump perfectly.
I'm camera-shy. Will this be uncomfortable? The vast majority of my maternity clients describe themselves the same way. My approach is built for that — calm direction, patient pacing, and a session where you're never left wondering what to do. Most mothers tell me they actually enjoyed it more than they expected.
Can someone help with my makeup and hair? I am happy to recommend excellent local hair and makeup artists if you prefer - but most moms-to-be look radiant just as they are.
